Kryn McClain, Founder of CatapalloVR, to Speak at International Learning Ideas Conference

Dr. Kryn McClain, Founder and CEO of CatapalloVR, presented at the Learning Ideas Conference, an annual international conference on innovations in learning and technology for the workplace and higher education, held in New York and virtually.

Her session, "Unlocking New Horizons: Virtual Reality as an Effective Learning Tool," addressed how virtual reality has moved beyond its gaming origins to become a serious tool for education and workforce training — outlining VR's potential, effectiveness, and applications as a medium for immersive learning experiences.

The invitation reflected the direction Dr. McClain had already set for what would become CatapalloVR: using immersive technology to let people practice real skills in a safe, repeatable environment before the moment that matters. That same thinking has since grown into four distinct products — CORE, REHEARSE, ARRIVE, and SPAR — each applying immersive and AI-driven practice to a different kind of high-stakes moment, from safety training on a manufacturing floor to a sales rep's next live call.

Dr. McClain's path to CatapalloVR runs through her clinical background as a licensed professional counselor. In 2017, she co-founded Paragon Behavioral Health Services, and the technology that would eventually become CatapalloVR first took shape there — VR software designed to teach independent living skills to clients with autism in a safe, controlled setting. CatapalloVR launched as its own company in 2023.
