Olean native and SBU grad to present at International Learning Ideas Conference
READING, Pa. — An Olean, N.Y., native and St. Bonaventure University graduate, Dr. Kryn McClain, CEO and founder of CatapalloVR, will present at the 17th Annual Learning Ideas Conference June 12-14 in New York City.
McClain will present her session virtually. The international conference focuses on innovations in learning and technology for the workplace and higher education.
Her topic, “Unlocking New Horizons: Virtual Reality as an Effective Learning Tool,” addresses how virtual reality (VR) has transcended its gaming origins to revolutionize education and learning. VR’s potential, effectiveness and applications as a transformative tool for immersive learning experiences will be outlined.
CatapalloVR, launched in 2023, offers a platform that caters to the diverse needs of behavioral healthcare companies, educators and individual health care providers.
“With a subscription-based revenue model, our platform serves as an invaluable tool for augmenting treatment and education in the realm of neurodiverse individuals and mental health therapy,” McClain said. “Through a comprehensive range of immersive training modules, we facilitate skill development within a secure virtual environment.”McClain said her passion for CatapalloVR stems from a belief in the power of the newest technology to transform mental health care. McClain is a 2011 graduate of St. Bonaventure’s Master’s in Community Mental Health Program.
